This policy covers information collected through workmansites.com and our email, phone, and messaging channels. Client websites we build are covered by their own privacy policies.
When you fill out the contact form, call, email, or text us, we receive whatever you send: your name, business name, trade, email address, phone number, current website URL, and the message you wrote. We ask for these because we can't quote a site build without them.
Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring URL, and time spent. We use this for analytics and to make the site faster — not to build a marketing profile of you.
We use minimal first-party cookies required to operate the site. We may use Google Analytics (or a similar privacy-respecting tool like Plausible or Fathom) to understand which pages get read. You can block these cookies in your browser and the site will still work.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, profiling, or retargeted advertising.
We keep your information inside our business. The narrow exceptions:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever. Not to list brokers, not to advertisers, not to anyone.
If you give us your mobile number — through our website form, in conversation, or by texting us first — we may send you SMS messages about your project. Here's how that works.
Your phone number, the timestamp and method of your opt-in, the content of messages you send us, and basic carrier metadata (carrier name, delivery status). We use Twilio as our messaging provider and they process this on our behalf.
To reply about quotes, schedule scoping calls, send project updates during a build, and answer questions you've texted us. That's it — no marketing blasts, no promotional campaigns to people we've never spoken with.
You will only receive texts from us if you explicitly opted in — by typing your number into our contact form, replying YES to a confirmation, or texting us first. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors supporting our services (e.g., Twilio as the messaging provider) is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Message frequency varies by conversation — typically fewer than 10 messages per project. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan. We don't charge anything for the texts themselves.
Reply STOP to any message and we'll stop texting you. Reply HELP for help, or email christian@workmansites.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Contact form submissions from prospects who don't become clients are kept for up to 24 months in case you come back, then deleted. Client records are kept for the life of the engagement plus seven years for tax and legal purposes. Anonymous analytics are kept for 14 months.

California residents: You have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know the categories of personal information collected and to opt out of any "sale" of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell personal information.
We use reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect the information you send us — encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage where appropriate, and access limited to the people who need it. No system is 100% secure. If we ever discover a breach that affects you, we'll notify you promptly.
This site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be announced on the homepage or emailed to active clients.
